Ever feel you’re missing out? I used to feel like this often… I never asked myself, quietly, what would fill ME up? What would I choose if I didn”t buy into the societal expectation that bigger and louder is better? That the only way to grow your role is go up, not get out?
Do you ever just feel like something is missing? You’re not fulfilled, you’re restless… just not feeling like YOU? Often this is when you’re not living your personal, or core, values.
To be honest, I don’t like the idea of ‘reentry’. It implies a one-way journey back to how things were. And I don’t think it’s going to be that simple. I don’t believe a one-way journey back to where things were is right for all of us. I’m not the only one who’s thinking twice about this but I wonder how many of us are speaking up?
As an introvert I find myself drained by social interaction and as a I’m wiped out by a busy environment… And, whilst I know I can keep up this level of busy-ness for a short while, it will catch up with me, and so I’ve pulled together my favourite ways to look after my energy when I find myself being too busy.
Self-belief is easily dented if you let it be; here’s my invitation… if you find yourself feeling less-than because you’re not sure what people are talking about, or you’re in one of those conversations where you feel it’s about to go wrong, call a time-out and check in with word-meanings
If you’ve known me more than five minutes, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of decluttering, of everything having a rightful place and of letting go of anything that does not serve you. I believe in physical (and mental) spaces that nurture, not drain.
